Rules DuGym
- An annual registration fee will be charged at the start of the September term for children participating in the DuGym programme.
- Term payment must always be made in full on the first lesson of the new term. There are no refund or make-up offers for missed one-hour lessons. Only in special circumstances will a credit be offered.
- All children who are already registered in the gymnastics programme will automatically be guaranteed a place in the following term. However, if the gymnast concerned does not turn up on the first lesson, his/her place will automatically be given to the next person on the waiting list.
- When joining DuGym all girls and boys are required to purchase a club leotard. This can be done through the website.
- During the lessons gymnasts should wear a club leotard or any other leotard they might have. Girls from 10 years upwards may also wear blue leotard shorts. These can be purchased through DuGym. Jewellery should not be worn and this includes watches, necklaces, rubber band bracelets etc. Hair should be tied back with soft hairbands and gym is done with bare feet. This dress code is for the safety of both gymnasts and coaches.
- As we are living in a Muslim country we also ask you to arrive and leave the gym wearing appropriate clothing to cover up (i.e. T shirt over leotard).
- In each site there are local rules pertaining to the use of the facility but generally speaking parents are not allowed to remain in the gym. Also no friends or siblings of children taking part in the lesson will be allowed to stay in the gym.
- Children should always be picked up from outside the gym hall door unless otherwise stated by your child’s coach. Should you wish otherwise, then the Club Coach will require a written consent from the parent which states that the parent gives the child permission to leave the gym unaccompanied.
- Children need to be dropped off and picked up on time from the gym hall. Parents must ensure that a coach is on-site before leaving their child. If a child has been picked up more than 15 minutes late on two occasions or more than she/he will not be allowed to return to gymnastics. No refund will be given.
- It is recommended that all children bring water in a plastic disposable container to their class.
- All parents are required to sign the registration form.
